Sick Addy

Monday, October 6th, 2008

A few weeks ago when Addy was sick we were trying to be strick and not let her leave the table without eating much of her dinner. She was putting up a real fight. Later we realized she was sick. This was her solution to the stale mate. She really is asleep in the picture, no faking here?

Fall is upon us for sure…

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

It rained most of the weekend, and the temperatures have gone way down. Fall is here. We took a great walk this morning right after the rain stopped. There is snow on all the peaks around the Salt Lake valley.

Rio Tinto Ride to Vegas

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

From Sept. 18th to the 22nd.  I rode from SLC to Las Vegas with 3 other Rio Tinto employees.  I was definitely the weaker of the 4 of us, but got there in one piece.  Riding with other people only makes me better and motivates me to be in better shape.  We did ~450 miles.  We each took turns driving the support van switching off every 25 miles.  Most of us averaged ~100 miles/day.

Bob Moore met us on the way during our first leg from Daybreak, South Jordan, UT to Delta. He rode his Honda Rebel out to meet us. It was a nice unexpected surprise.

Even though I was tired as hell.  I still was disapointed the next day not to be on the bike.
